CONSTITUTION:When an identification sheet for picture communication designating file polling is sent to a center equipment 20, the identification sheet is confirmed, analyzed and subject to execute processing and the line is once interrupted. Then a designated destination is called and a designated file stored in the center equipment 20 is read and sent. In this case, when the content of the identification sheet is analyzed and the content of analysis is discriminated to be defective, no post message reply signal is sent to a transmitter 10. Since this signal does not comes to the transmitter 10, the line is interrupted. Since the line is immediately interrupted regardless of the transmission of the identification sheet, a fault of the identification sheet is recognized.
