CONSTITUTION:A spectral sensitizing dyestuff and at least one kind of the compds. expressed by formula I or II are incorporated into the above-mentioned emulsion. In the formulas I or II, R1 to R4, R4', R5, R5', R6 to R12 denote a hydrogen atom or monovalent org. residual group. The spectral sensitizing dyestuff may be a cyanine dyestuff or merocyanine dyestuff or the cyanine dyestuff combined thereof. The silver halide photographic emulsion is improved in the dyestuff desensitization and is enhanced in the sensitivity and preservable stability is obtd. in this way.
