PURPOSE:To obtain a required flavor retaining property without losing the ease at the time of use by forming a housing part for the material to be extracting partly of water permeable members and covering the outside of the water permeable members of a barrier-type film having heat shrinkability. CONSTITUTION:The housing part 7 of the extraction vessel 1 having the housing part 7 for the material C (e.x.; coffee beans) which is to be extracted and is extracted by hot water is formed partly of the water permeable members 4, 5 (e.g.; porous stretched polypropylene film). Further, the outside of the water permeable member 4 is coated with the barrier-type film 3 having the heat shrinkability (e.g.; a coextruded, multilayered and stretched film consisting of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer/ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer/nylon/ ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer). Namely, the film 3 shrinks to expose the water permeable members when the film comes into contact with hot water at the time of extraction and, therefore, the necessary flavor retaining property is obtd. and the coffee, etc., are obtainable with ease.
