CONSTITUTION:An output section F outputs a color patch based on reference chart data stored in reference chart data memories 125, 126, 127 and the color patch is read by a color reader section A. Then the read data are converted into data in a uniform color space by a color conversion section C and correction data for the output section F and the color reader section are generated based on the converted data and the reference chart data.
