PURPOSE:To make a complicated operation, which is required for a traditional system, and which is performed from outside of a rack, unnecessary by performing the replacement and removal of a movable side panel in the inner surface of a rack. CONSTITUTION:A rack for printed board storage is moved in such a manner that the outer surface of the standing movable side panel faces a storage width adjusting equipment of the rack. When the rack stops at a prescribed position which is in front of the storage width adjusting equipment, a table 70 advances toward the outer surface of the movable side panel 5 of the rack. When a sensor 61 detects the outer surface, the advance of the table 70 stops, and by the function of a fluid pressure cylinder 41, a pressing tool 60 of a panel piece 55 presses the outer surface of the movable side panel 5 during a forward motion of a reciprocating movable shaft 42. At the same time, a link mechanism 44 operates, and a gripping finger 53, which grips a pivotally movable lever 32, turns the lever 32 by the turning of the link movement and releases the engagement. In the meantime, turning actuators 65, 65a operate, and holding arms 66, 66a turn by 90 deg. and come into contact with the inner surface of the movable side panel 5. By the joint operation of the pressing tool 60, holding arm 66, reciprocating movable shaft 42 and table 70, the movable side panel 5 is moved to a prescribed position.
