Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To quickly locate an abnormality occurrence part in an image processing unit. CONSTITUTION:Data read by a color reader section A are stored in data memories 122-124 and the data and reference chart data in data memories 125-127 are compared by a comparator 130 and a correction quantity is outputted as the result of comparison. The correction value is compared respectively at a comparator 130 and a comparator 139 with a prescribed threshold level relating to a correction quantity of the color reader section A and an output section F and when the correction quantity exceeds the threshold level, an output representing an error is provided respectively. Thus, an abnormality of each of the color reader section A and the output section F is recognized respectively.
