PURPOSE:To enable airflow directions of a plurality of air conditioner to be set to predetermined positions, by sending airflow direction data corresponding to an airflow direction indication from a remote control switch to a room unit, and providing the room unit with an airflow direction position detecting mechanism for determining a reference position. CONSTITUTION:At the time of setting an airflow direction to a predetermined direction, an airflow direction adjusting switch 1a is depressed when an airflow direction indicator 1b on a remote control 1 coincides with a desired one of airflow directions represented by diagrams A-G, thereby stopping the indication. With the switch 1a thus depressed, airflow direction indication data at that moment is sent to a room unit 2 through a transmission circuit 1c. A calculating part 2e calculates a driving time based on the airflow direction position data and a period required for one cycle operation of an airflow direction mechanism, and an airflow direction driving mechanism 2a is operated for a predetermined period of time to set the airflow direction mechanism 2b for a predetermined airflow direction. Airflow direction data can be set at a plurality of stages according to the indications A-G on the airflow direction indicator 1b.
