PURPOSE: To provide a protecting pad for absorbing shocks, applied to various clothes and hats and capable of protecting body sites of a wearer from the shocks. CONSTITUTION: This protecting pad for absorbing shocks comprises a shock absorbing member 3 for a shock absorbing air layer 5 having hermetically closing functions between a right side fabric 1 and an underlining fabric 2 therein, forming the shock absorbing member 3 having mutually opposite and continuously inflated air bags 4a and 4b so as to mutually oppose, forming the shock absorbing air layer 5 between the mutually opposite air bags 4a and 4b and making the air bags 4a and 4b and air layer 5 communicate with air passage pipe between a pump and a valve installed on the edge of the shock absorbing member 3.
