PURPOSE:To save a battery in a mobile set by transmitting a HOLD key code to a fixed set when a HOLD key on the mobile set is depressed in a communication line connecting state and outputting a radio circuit OFF instruction from the mobile set in accordance with a response message. CONSTITUTION:When the Hold key 11 on the mobile set 2 is depressed in the line connected state between the fixed set 1 and the mobile set 2, a HOLD code is transmitted to the fixed set 1. The fixed set 1 transmits a response message in response to the reception of the HOLD code and the mobile set 2 receiving the message outputs a radio circuit part (3) OFF instruction from a control part 6, so that a built-in battery can be prevented from being unnecessarily consumed and the battery saving of the mobile set can be executed at its maximum.
