PURPOSE:To improve the assembling work by temporarily fitting one end of a rear suspension and a rear wheel axle to a swing arm, swinging the swing arm upward, applying a displacement quantity to the rear suspension, pushing the axle backward, and applying tension to a chain for assembling. CONSTITUTION:The front end section of a swing arm 5 is swayably fitted to a body frame 2, the upper end of a rear suspension 9 is temporarily fitted to the frame 2 and the lower end to the swing arm 5, and they are transferred to the assembling position. The frame 2 is fixed to a fixing device 10, and an axle 4 is fixed to a machine frame 50 via a socket. Cylinder units 32 and 34 are driven, the swing arm 5 is swayed upward by a machine bed 40, a displacement quantity of about 1G is applied to the rear suspension 9, the machine frame 50 is moved backward, and tension is applied to a drive chain suspended on the axle. The displacement quantity and tension are simultaneously applied, and the assembling work is improved.
