PURPOSE:To make the main body itself of a Japanese word processor small in volume and light in weight by forming a battery like a seal lead battery insertable to a memory card slot, and providing the slot which can supply power and insert a memory card as well. CONSTITUTION:This word processor is composed of a display device 1, input device 2, printer 4 and so on. In this case, a slot 12 is provided to insert a ROM card building in a card-shaped seal lead battery or a program in the same shape as the memory card to be required in the case of carrying the main body and requiring a power source for backup, or a RAM card to store data such as documents or the like. Namely, the battery like the light seal lead battery can be inserted to the slot of the memory card so as to use the slot not only for supplying power but also for inserting the memory card. Thus, the main body itself of the Japanese word processor or a personal computer can be small in volume and light in weight.
