Zusammenfassung:	In a video recorder with changeable image searching speed, it is possible to invert the drive direction of the tape by passing on a tape still position. A track centering value is affected to each image searching speed in order to obtain an optimum image reproduction. Furthermore, speed variations during the reproduction of tapes having different characteristics are recognized as phase offsets, integrated and used as fixed follow up for resetting the speed regulation circuit.
