Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of a recording layer of an optical recording medium laminated and disposed with an underlying layer, protective layer and recording layer successively on a resin substrate and to improve the corrosion resistance and durability thereof by incorporating Si, C and H into the underlying layer of the above-mentioned recording medium thereby enhancing the adhesiveness of the substrate and the upper layer thereof. CONSTITUTION:Si, C and H are incorporated into the underlying layer 3 of the optical recording medium formed by laminating and disposing the underlying layer 3, the protective layer 31 and the recording layer (thin magnetic film layer) 5, etc., successively on the resin substrate 2. Such underlying layer 3 is formed by, for example, reactive sputtering, etc., and the atomic ratios of Si, C and H are preferably about 0.3-3 C/Si and 0.3-6 H/Si. The thickness of the underlying layer 3 is preferably about 10-1,000Angstrom . Si is preferably incorporated further into the protective layer 31. The recording layer 5 is preferably constituted of an underlying protective layer 311 consisting of a thin magnetic rare earth-transmition metal film and a dielectric layer 312. Such optical recording medium has the good adhesiveness of the substrate 2 and the protective layer 31, the high corrosion resistance and durability and the high reproduction output and C/N. In addition, deterioration of the error rate is decreased. |
