To provide a wafer holder, having a top plate vacuum-sucked to a base plate, which allows a temperature sensor to be disposed without impeding the vacuum suction.SOLUTION: A wafer holder comprises: a top plate having an upper surface on which a wafer is placed; and a base plate disposed under the top plate. The top plate has: a temperature sensor which has a detection part and a lead wire extending from the detection part; a wiring path in which the temperature sensor is housed; and an exhaust path for vacuum-sucking the top plate onto the base plate. The wiring path has: a first end at which the detection part is disposed; and a second end from which the lead wire is led out.
