To provide an assistance device that maintains operability even if an observation condition and operation means are changed.SOLUTION: An assistance device assists the movement of operating tools 10L, 10R operating an object 103 under observation by a microscope 100, and comprises: movable parts 1L, 1R that drive the operating tools 10L, 10R; a control unit 2 that controls the movable parts 1L, 1R; and input parts 20L, 20R that receive input for driving the movable parts 1L, 1R.
