To provide: a phosphorus-containing compound useful as a reactive phosphorus-based flame retardant and excellent in heat resistance and dielectric characteristics of a cured product; a curable resin composition comprising the same; and a cured product thereof.SOLUTION: This invention provides a phosphorus-containing vinyl benzyl compound represented by general formula (1). In general formula (1), Ar is a C6-30 aromatic ring group that may have a substituent, and each R1 is independently a substituent represented by general formula (2) or a vinyl benzyl group, provided that the compound comprises at least one each of a substituent represented by general formula (2) and a vinyl benzyl group; and m is an integer from 3 to 6.
