PUSHING AND SENDING DEVICE, TRANSFER DEVICE AND TRANSFER METHOD

To provide a pushing and sending device capable of reducing an occupied space in the vertical direction, to provide a transfer device including the same, and to provide a transfer method using the same.SOLUTION: A pushing and sending device 200 includes: a pushing part 205 standing in the vertical direction VT and capable of coming into contact with part of a stacked article XA1; a drive part 206 for allowing the pushing part 205 to advance/retreat in the pushing and sending direction T along the moving direction of an article XA2 on a sending-out part 103; and a pushing and sending control part 520 for controlling the operation of the pushing part 205 and the drive part 206. The pushing and sending control part 520 includes: a retreat processing part 522 for allowing at least part of the pushing part 205 to retreat to a position that does not hinder conveyance of the article XA2 on the sending-out part 103 in the case where the pushing part 205 is not pushing and sending the stacked article XA1; and a pushing and sending time processing part 521 for restoring at least part of the pushing part 205 retreated by the retreat processing part 522 and for pushing and sending the stacked article XA1.
