The ceramic substrate comprises a plurality of internal electrodes stacked on one another in a uniaxial direction, and an end face extending along a plane parallel to the uniaxial direction. The external electrode has an inner layer part and an outer layer part. The inner layer part contains Cu as a chief ingredient, and an additive ingredient containing at least one element selected from the group consisting of Nb, Hf, Ta, W, and Pt, or contains Ni as a chief ingredient, and an additive ingredient containing at least one element selected from the group consisting of V, Cr, Mn, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ru, Hf, Ta, W, and Pt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
