Zusammenfassung:To provide an image forming apparatus that can appropriately remove reversely-charged toner accumulated on a charging roller.SOLUTION: A control unit executes, while not executing image forming processing, collection processing with frictional charging of collecting reversely-charged toner on a charging roller 53. The collection processing with frictional charging includes separation processing of controlling a contact and separation mechanism to locate a developing roller 61 at a separation position, frictional charging processing of charging the reversely-charged toner to have a first polarity with friction between the reversely-charged toner on the charging roller 53 and a charging roller cleaner 57, frictional charge toner discharge processing of applying bias to the charging roller 53 so as to move regularly-charged toner charged to have the first polarity through the frictional charging processing from the charging roller 53 to a photoconductor drum 52, and drum regularly-charged toner collection processing of transferring the regularly-charged toner on the photoconductor drum 52 to a transfer belt 73 from the photoconductor drum 52 and collecting the regularly-charged toner on the transfer belt 73 by using a belt cleaner 90.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 【課題】帯電ローラに蓄積した逆帯電トナーを適切に除去することができる画像形成装置を提供する。【解決手段】制御部は、画像形成処理を実行していないときに、帯電ローラ53上の逆帯電トナーを回収する摩擦帯電による回収処理を実行する。摩擦帯電による回収処理は、接触離間機構を制御することで現像ローラ61を離間位置に位置させる離間処理と、帯電ローラ53上の逆帯電トナーと帯電ローラクリーナ57との摩擦により、逆帯電トナーを第1の極性に帯電させる摩擦帯電処理と、摩擦帯電処理により第1の極性に帯電した順帯電トナーを帯電ローラ53から感光ドラム52に移動させるようなバイアスを、帯電ローラ53に印加する摩擦帯電トナー吐出処理と、感光ドラム52上の順帯電トナーを、感光ドラム52から転写ベルト73に転写し、転写ベルト73上の順帯電トナーをベルトクリーナ90で回収する、ドラム順帯電トナー回収処理と、を含む。【選択図】図7
