To provide a composite that can reduce the peeling and breaking of a coating.SOLUTION: A composite includes a metal substrate, a coating predominantly composed of crystalline oxide, and an intermediate layer interposed between the substrate and the coating. The distance between two points along a first interface, where the substrate and the intermediate layer are in contact, compared with the linear distance between these two points on the first interface.
