POLLUTION DIFFUSION SUPPRESSION DEVICE AND POLLUTION DIFFUSION SUPPRESSION METHOD

To provide a pollution diffusion suppression device and a pollution diffusion suppression method, which can effectively suppress diffusion of pollution while avoiding increase in weight, thickness, length and size of the pollution diffusion suppression device for suppressing the diffusion of pollution generated when boring sediment on water bottom with a cutter head mounted on a pump dredger.SOLUTION: Diffusion of pollution D is suppressed by boring sediment S on a water bottom B with a cutter head 5 in a state in which length L2 extending from a rear end toward a tip side of the cutter head 5 of a pollution diffusion suppressing cover 21 provided above the cutter head 5 is set to length of 30% or more and 50% or less of a length dimension L1 from the rear end to the tip of the cutter head 5 in an extending direction of a rotation axis 6 of the cutter head 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】ポンプ浚渫船が備えているカッターヘッドによって水底の土砂を掘削するときに生じる汚濁の拡散を抑制する汚濁拡散抑制装置の重厚長大化を回避しつつ、汚濁の拡散を効果的に抑制できる汚濁拡散抑制装置および汚濁拡散抑制方法を提供する。【解決手段】カッターヘッド５の上方に設ける汚濁拡散抑制カバー２１のカッターヘッド５の後端から先端側に向かって張り出す長さＬ２を、カッターヘッド５の回転軸６の延在方向において、カッターヘッド５の後端から先端までの長さ寸法Ｌ１の３０％以上５０％以下の長さに設定した状態で、カッターヘッド５により水底Ｂの土砂Ｓの掘削を行うことで汚濁Ｄの拡散を抑制する。【選択図】図３
