Zusammenfassung:To provide an exhaust gas purifying catalyst which achieves both suppression of poisoning by phosphorus and excellent exhaust gas purification performance.SOLUTION: There is provided an exhaust gas purifying catalyst for purifying exhaust gas emitted from an internal combustion engine. The exhaust gas purifying catalyst comprises a base material 11, a catalyst layer 20, which is disposed on the base material 11 and contains a catalyst metal and an OSC material and a phosphorus trapping layer 30 which is disposed on the catalyst layer 20 and contains calcium sulfate and/or calcium carbonate as phosphorus trapping components and substantially contains no catalyst metal. The phosphorus trapping layer 30 is disposed from the end on the upstream side of the base material 11 in the exhaust gas flow direction to the downstream side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】リンによる被毒の抑制と、優れた排ガス浄化性能とが両立された排ガス浄化用触媒を提供すること。【解決手段】ここに開示される排ガス浄化用触媒は、内燃機関から排出される排ガスを浄化する排ガス浄化用触媒である。該排ガス浄化用触媒は、基材11と、基材11の上に配置され、触媒金属およびOSC材を含む触媒層20と、触媒層20の上に配置され、リン捕捉成分として硫酸カルシウムおよび/または炭酸カルシウムを含み、触媒金属を実質的に含まないリン捕捉層30とを備えている。リン捕捉層30は、排ガス流通方向における基材11の上流側の端部から下流側に向かって配置されている。【選択図】図3
