Zusammenfassung:To provide a membrane electrode joint that can suppress non-uniformity of contact resistance (variation within a plane) and local current concentration, and a manufacturing method for membrane electrode joint.SOLUTION: A membrane electrode joint comprises an ion-exchange membrane having a first face and a second face opposite the first face, and a cathode catalyst layer disposed further to the first face side than the ion-exchange membrane, an anode catalyst layer disposed further to the second face side than the ion-exchange membrane, and an ionomer layer provided separately from the cathode catalyst layer and the anode catalyst layer between the ion-exchange membrane and the cathode catalyst layer and between the ion-exchange membrane and the anode catalyst layer and forming a layer structure together with the anode catalyst layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】接触抵抗の不均一性(面内でのばらつき)と局所的な電流集中を抑制可能な膜電極接合体、及び膜電極接合体の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】膜電極接合体は、第一面、及び該第一面とは反対側に位置した第二面を有するイオン交換膜と、イオン交換膜よりも第一面の側に配置された陰極触媒層と、イオン交換膜よりも第二面の側に配置された陽極触媒層と、イオン交換膜と陰極触媒層との間、及びイオン交換膜と陽極触媒層との間に陰極触媒層及び陽極触媒層と別体として設けられて、陰極触媒層及び記陽極触媒層と共に層構造を成すイオノマー層と、を備える。【選択図】図5
