Zusammenfassung:To achieve reduction of the number of components and reduction of assembly work hours and reduce a possibility of oil leakage through a communication port in a vehicle drive device including a breather having the communication port being open in a case.SOLUTION: A vehicle drive device includes: a case which houses at least one of a drive source having a rotary shaft and a power transmission mechanism located between the drive source and a wheel in an oil-tight manner; a breather which is provided at the case and opens the interior of the case to atmospheric air through a communication port which is open toward the interior of the case; wiring for electrically connecting an electronic component disposed within the case to a power source; and a clamp member which is fixed to the case and clamps the wiring to the case.
