Zusammenfassung:	To reduce dependence on a confirmation method of test patterns printed for adjusting printing quality in a printer.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes a printing head 11 for performing printing on a medium having a first surface and a second surface positioned on the rear face of the first surface, and a control part 10 for controlling printing by the printing head. The control part 10 controls printing by the printing head 11 so as to form a plurality of test patterns having different printing characteristics in a first direction on the first surface and to form solid patterns having uniform characteristics in a region overlapping the plurality of test patterns on the second surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】印刷装置において印刷品質を調整するために印刷するテストパターンについて、その確認方法への依存性を低減させる。【解決手段】本発明の一態様にかかる印刷装置１は、第１面と、第１面の裏面に位置する第２面と、を有する媒体に対して、印刷を行う印刷ヘッド１１と、印刷ヘッドによる印刷を制御する制御部１０と、を備える。制御部１０は、第１面に、第１方向においてそれぞれ印刷特性の異なる複数のテストパターンを形成し、第２面に、上記複数のテストパターンと重なる領域に一様な特性のベタパターンを形成するように、印刷ヘッド１１による印刷を制御する。【選択図】図１
