To provide an ink refill device capable of suppressing insufficient nozzle insertion while ensuring the convenience of automatic ink refilling.SOLUTION: Provided is an ink refill device 1 including a case 11 having a writing instrument attachment portion 12 to which a writing instrument can be attached from the outside, an ink bottle 20 removably attached to the upper portion of the case 11, a discharge nozzle 30 provided at the lower end of the ink bottle 20, and a remaining ink sensor 122 capable of detecting the remaining amount of ink in the cartridge of the writing instrument. The ink bottle 20 is attached to the case 11 while being biased by an elastic body 15 toward an upper standby position.
