Zusammenfassung:To set an appropriate target current value according to an individual difference in performance of an electric motor in an electric parking brake device.SOLUTION: An electric parking brake device of an embodiment comprises: a linear-motion member which, during vehicle braking control, is moved in a forward direction by driving of an electric motor to generate electric braking force, and which, during braking release control, is moved in a backward direction opposite to the forward direction by driving of the electric motor to release the electric braking force; and a controller for controlling the electric motor. When controlling the electric motor, the controller acquires at least one of a first elapsed time from when energization is started to when a change gradient of a current value of the electric motor with respect to time becomes a first threshold value or less during the braking release control, and a second elapsed time from when energization is started to when the change gradient of the current value of the electric motor with respect to time becomes a second threshold value or more during the braking control. The controller sets a target current value for energization of the electric motor during the braking control on the basis of the acquired elapsed time(s).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】電動駐車ブレーキ装置において、電気モータの性能の個体差に応じて適切な目標電流値を設定する。【解決手段】実施形態の電動駐車ブレーキ装置は、車両の制動制御時に電気モータの駆動によって前進方向に移動することで電動制動力を発生させ、制動解除制御時に電気モータの駆動によって前進方向の逆方向である後退方向に移動することで電動制動力を解除する直動部材と、電気モータを制御するコントローラと、を備える。コントローラは、電気モータを制御するときに、制動解除制御時に通電開始から電気モータの電流値の時間に対する変化勾配が第1閾値以下になるまでの第1経過時間、および、制動制御時に通電開始から電気モータの電流値の時間に対する変化勾配が第2閾値以上になるまでの第2経過時間のうちの少なくとも一つを取得し、それらに基づいて、制動制御時に、電気モータに通電する目標電流値を設定する。【選択図】図6
