Zusammenfassung:To provide a vehicle input device and vehicle input method that allow a button operation to be easily recognized when a vehicle vibrates.SOLUTION: A vehicle input device includes: a button 3 which is provided in the vehicle's interior; an electrostatic sensor 10 which is provided below the back surface of the button 3; a vibration detection unit which detects the vibration of the vehicle; and an operation recognition device 40 which recognizes a touch operation within a prescribed operation recognition range on the surface of the button based on the output of the electrostatic sensor. The operation recognition device 40 extracts a surface direction vibration component that vibrates in the direction along the surface of the button 3 and a normal direction vibration component that vibrates in the normal direction with respect to the surface of the button 3 from the vibration of the vehicle detected by the vibration detection unit, and increase the area of an operation recognition range and/or the sensitivity of the touch operation according to the magnitude of the surface direction vibration component and/or the magnitude of the normal direction vibration component.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】車両の振動時に、ボタン操作を認識し易くした車両用入力装置及び車両用入力方法を提供する。【解決手段】車両の室内に設けられるボタン3と、ボタン3の背面下に設けられる静電センサ10と、車両の振動を検出する振動検出部と、静電センサの出力に基づき、ボタンの表面上で所定の操作認識範囲内のタッチ操作を認識する操作認識装置40を備え、操作認識装置40は、振動検出部により検出された車両の振動から、ボタン3の表面に沿う方向に振動する面方向振動成分と、ボタン3の表面に対して法線方向に振動する法線方向振動成分とを抽出し、面方向振動成分の大きさ及び/又は法線方向振動成分の大きさに応じて、操作認識範囲の面積及び/又はタッチ操作の感度を大きくする。【選択図】図1
