To provide a head unit which suppresses entry of a liquid from a joint boundary face, and a liquid discharging device.SOLUTION: A frame member 170 of a head 101 and a cover member 102 are joined by an adhesive 107, and on an outside surface of the frame member 170, a step part 170b, which retreats with respect to a joint area 170a, is formed on a side of the joint area 170a joining with the cover member 102. On an outside surface of the cover member 102, a step part 102b, which retreats with respect to a joint area 102a, is formed on a side of the joint area 102a joining with the frame member 170. Thus, a first groove part 201 facing a joint boundary face is formed on outer side of the joint boundary face (joint part by the adhesive 107) between the frame member 170 and the cover member 102.
