NOVEL HOMOPOLYMER, COATING-FORMING COMPOSITION, LAMINATE, AND ARTICLE

To provide: a novel polymer that is used in combination with a metal salt and useful for forming a metal-containing coating on a substrate; and a laminate which comprises a transparent substrate and a coating such that an exposed surface of the coating and a surface of the coating contacting the transparent substrate differ in at least one of color and gloss.SOLUTION: The invention provides a predetermined homopolymer represented by the general formula (I). A laminate is also provided which has a transparent substrate and a coating that is formed on one surface of the transparent substrate.
