Zusammenfassung:To provide a method for assisting detection of hepatoma with which hepatoma can be detected with higher sensitivity than a known method.SOLUTION: A method for assisting detection of hepatoma includes measuring full-length glypican-3 in a blood specimen separated from a living body, and measuring glypican-3 having an N-terminus sub-unit. The method includes taking the ratio of a measured value of the full-length glypican-3 to a measured value of the glypican-3 having an N-terminus sub-unit (measured value of full-length glypican-3/measured value of glypican-3 having N-terminus sub-unit), and the ratio higher than that of an able-bodied person indicates the possibility that the living body has hepatoma.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】公知の方法よりも高感度に肝細胞がんを検出することが可能な、肝細胞がんの検出を補助する方法を提供すること。【解決手段】肝細胞がんの検出を補助する方法は、生体から分離された血液検体中の全長グリピカン-3を測定することと、N末端側サブユニットを有するグリピカン-3を測定することとを含む。全長グリピカン-3の測定値とN末端側サブユニットを有するグリピカン-3の測定値との比(全長グリピカン-3の測定値/N末端側サブユニットを有するグリピカン-3の測定値)が、健常者よりも高いことが、生体が肝細胞がんに罹患している可能性が高いことを示す。【選択図】図1
