Zusammenfassung: | To provide a sensor system which realizes a highly accurate force sense detection system, and to provide a machine tool which can achieve high quality production.SOLUTION: A sensor system according to an embodiment is installed at a spindle of a machine tool including the spindle having a shaft configured to rotate a tool or a workpiece and a housing rotatably supporting the shaft. The sensor system includes: multiple sensor bodies each of which holds a wire-like piezoelectric sensor and a measurement part having a contact surface formed with guide grooves for holding parts of the piezoelectric sensor; and multiple compression members each having a compression surface which contacts with the piezoelectric sensor held by the guide grooves and faces the contact surface. The sensor bodies and the compression members are integrated and arranged and separated at a predetermined distance along a circumferential direction of the housing at an end of the housing at a shaft end side to which the tool or the workpiece is attached.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
