Zusammenfassung:To provide an ice making machine having an ice making chamber arranged in a vertically multistep manner for avoiding the occurrence of so-called arching such that a plurality of ices are frozen in an ice storage chamber in the state of contacting each other when executing cooling operation to cool the interior of the ice making chamber in a standby mode.SOLUTION: An ice making machine 10 has ice making mechanism parts 20 and ice making chambers 14 arranged in a vertically multistep manner. In the standby mode to stand by without executing ice making operation after an ice storage detector 43 detects that ices are filled up in an ice storage chamber 16, it uses refrigerators 30A, 30C of top-step and third-step ice making mechanism parts 20A, 20C for cooling the ice making parts 21A, 21C without allowing the operation of a refrigerator 30B of a second-step ice making mechanism part 20B except top-step one. While cooling the interiors of the top-step ice making chamber 14A and the third-step ice making chamber 14C, the cooling operation can be executed to cool the interiors of the ice making chamber 14B and the ice storage chamber 16 on the lower side further than these.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】製氷室を上下に多段状に配置した製氷機において、待機モード中に製氷室内を冷却する保冷運転を実行したときに、貯氷室内で複数の氷が互いに接着した状態で凍結する、所謂アーチングが生じないようにする。【解決手段】製氷機10は、製氷機構部20と製氷室14を上下に多段状にで配置したものであり、貯氷検知器43により貯氷室16内に氷が満たされたことを検知して製氷運転を実行しないように待機する待機モード中に、最上段以外の2段目の製氷機構部20Bの冷凍装置30Bを作動させず、最上段と3段目の製氷機構部20A,20Cの冷凍装置30A,30Cにより製氷部21A,21Cを冷却することで、最上段の製氷室14A内と3段目の製氷室14Cを冷却しつつこれよりも下側の製氷室14B内及び貯氷室16内を冷却する保冷運転を実行可能とした。【選択図】図2
