Zusammenfassung:	To provide a method for producing purine-based substances such as inosine.SOLUTION: Bacteria belonging to the family Enterobacteriaceae, which are modified to have one or more modifications selected from the following modifications (A) to (C), and have the ability to produce a purine-based substance, are cultured in a medium to collect the purine-based substance from the medium and/or the bacterial cells, thereby producing the purine-based substance.
