Zusammenfassung:To provide a thermosetting liquid crystal composition excellent in vertical orientation, and, excellent in the ability of orienting a directly laminated liquid crystal material, and having optical orientation capable of forming an orientation layer-cum-retardation layer and a producing method thereof, as well as, an orientation film-cum-retardation layer and a producing method thereof, a retardation plate containing the orientation layer-cum-retardation layer and a producing method thereof, an optical member and a producing method thereof, as well as, a display device.SOLUTION: A thermosetting liquid crystal composition with optical orientation comprises: a side chain type liquid crystal polymer (A) having a liquid crystalline structural unit containing a liquid crystalline moiety in its side chain and a non-liquid crystalline structural unit containing an alkylene group in its side chain; a copolymer (B) having a photoalignable structural unit containing a photoalignable group in its side chain, and a thermally crosslinkable structural unit containing a thermally crosslinkable group in its side chain, with the photoalignable structural unit not having a linear alkylene group between the photoalignable group and a monomer unit, and (C) a thermal crosslinking agent that binds with a thermal crosslinking group of the thermally crosslinkable structural unit.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】垂直配向性に優れ、且つ、直接積層された液晶性材料を配向させる能力に優れる、配向層兼位相差層を形成可能な光配向性を有する熱硬化性液晶組成物、配向膜兼位相差フィルム及びその製造方法、並びに、前記配向層兼位相差層を含有する位相差板及びその製造方法、光学部材及びその製造方法、並びに、表示装置を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】液晶性部分を側鎖に含む液晶性構成単位と、アルキレン基を側鎖に含む非液晶性構成単位とを有する側鎖型液晶ポリマー(A)と、光配向性基を側鎖に含む光配向性構成単位と、熱架橋性基を側鎖に含む熱架橋性構成単位とを有し、前記光配向性構成単位は光配向性基と単量体単位との間に直鎖アルキレン基を有しない共重合体(B)と、前記熱架橋性構成単位の熱架橋性基と結合する熱架橋剤(C)とを含有する、光配向性を有する熱硬化性液晶組成物。【選択図】なし
