Zusammenfassung:To suppress deterioration of output performance of an engine having a configuration in which an intercooler and a turbocharger are disposed in upper and lower parts of an engine body, respectively and an intake passage for guiding intake air supercharged by the turbocharger to the intercooler is disposed on the front side in the vehicle longitudinal direction of the engine body.SOLUTION: An engine includes: a timing chain or a timing belt disposed on a front side in a vehicle longitudinal direction of an engine body; and a cover that covers the timing chain or the timing belt and is mounted to the front side in the vehicle longitudinal direction of the engine body. The engine also includes a refrigerant circulation passage configured by integrating part of an intake passage for guiding intake air supercharged by a turbocharger to an intercooler with the cover by using a hole or a groove formed in the cover, disposed in the vicinity of the intake passage integrated with the cover and causing a refrigerant to flow.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】インタークーラ及びターボチャージャがそれぞれエンジン本体の上部及び下部に配置され、ターボチャージャによる過給後吸気をインタークーラへ導く吸気通路がエンジン本体の車両前後方向の前側に配置される構成のエンジンの出力性能の低下を抑制する。【解決手段】エンジン本体の車両前後方向の前側に配置されたタイミングチェーン又はタイミングベルトと、タイミングチェーン又はタイミングベルトを被覆し、エンジン本体の車両前後方向の前側に取り付けられたカバーとを備えたエンジンは、ターボチャージャによる過給後の吸気をインタークーラへ導く吸気通路の一部を、カバーに形成した孔又は溝を利用してカバーと一体化して構成され、カバーと一体化した吸気通路に近接して配設され、冷媒を流通させる冷媒循環通路を備える。【選択図】図1
