To provide a liquid virus-inactivating composition that exhibits minimal skin irritation and superior virus inactivation effects.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a liquid virus-inactivating composition comprising a quaternary ammonium salt (I) represented by the formula (I), with a pH of 4 or more and 9 or less (excluding liquid virus-inactivating compositions for treating fiber products).
