To provide a sliding member of a fixing device which holds lubricant oil on a sliding surface with a belt member for a long period, and can suppress rise with time of a rotational torque of the belt member.SOLUTION: In a fixing device 1 including a pressurization roller 2, a fixing belt 3 rotated together with the pressurization roller 2, and a nip formation member 4 for forming a nip part 6 between the pressurization roller 2 and the nip formation member 4 through the fixing belt 3, and passing a sheet 7 in the nip part 6, the sliding member 5 is interposed between the fixing belt 3 and the nip formation member 4.
