To provide a steel column which can directly anchor wood or the like to an outer surface of a column face part of the steel column, and a hybrid column material with wood using the same.SOLUTION: A steel column has a square cylindrical shape, in which a female screw part is tapped and provided on a vertically long column face part constituting a quadrangular prism formed with a hollow part.
