Zusammenfassung:To provide a printer capable of detecting contact between a recording medium and a plate member in a more secure manner.SOLUTION: A printer 10 includes a detection mechanism 70 configured to detect contact between a recording medium 5 placed on a table 35 and a plate member 80. The detection mechanism 70 includes: a first rotary shaft 73 connected to a base member 13; a second rotary shaft 74 which is disposed offset in a sub scanning direction X relative to the first rotary shaft 73; a first arm 75 which is connected to the first rotary shaft 73 and the second rotary shaft 74 and may rotate around the first rotary shaft 73; a second arm 76 which is connected to the second rotary shaft 74, supports the plate member 80, and may rotate around the second rotary shaft 74 in a predetermined range; and a sensor 91 configured to detect rotation of the first arm 75 which is rotated by contact between the plate member 80 and the recording medium 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】より確実に記録媒体と板部材との接触を検出することができるプリンタを提供すること。【解決手段】プリンタ10は、テーブル35に載置された記録媒体5と板部材80との接触を検出する検出機構70を備え、検出機構70は、ベース部材13に接続された第1回動軸73と、第1回動軸73に対して副走査方向Xに偏倚して配置された第2回動軸74と、第1回動軸73および第2回動軸74に接続され、かつ、第1回動軸73周りに回動可能な第1アーム75と、第2回動軸74に接続され、かつ、板部材80を支持し、かつ、所定の範囲内で第2回動軸74周りに回動可能な第2アーム76と、板部材80と記録媒体5との接触により回動する第1アーム75の回動を検出するセンサ91と、を備えている。【選択図】図6
