Zusammenfassung:To provide a position adjustment technique for a long heavy object that can be used in a narrow place, is excellent in portability, and can be remotely operated.SOLUTION: A position adjustment system for a heavy object includes: a plurality of position adjustment devices that are disposed at support points of a long heavy object and are capable of three-dimensional position adjustment; a centralized control device that synchronously controls the position adjustment devices; and communication means that connects them. Each of the position adjustment devices has: two placement tables that are rectangular in shape in a plan view, placed in two tiers on an installation surface, and have upper surface plates translatable in different directions in a horizontal plane; a hydraulic vertical jack that is installed on the placement tables and lifts and lowers the heavy object; and a sensor group. Each placement table includes: a horizontal base; a plurality of cylindrical rollers that are arranged on the horizontal base so as to be translatable; a horizontal jack that is assembled to one of the horizontal base and the upper surface plate and is capable of applying a reciprocating force to the other in a horizontal direction; and an upper surface plate in which movement in a direction orthogonal to the translation is restricted and that is placed on the rollers.
