Zusammenfassung:To perform drive force transmission switching that suppresses the time required for drive force transmission switching with a drive force transmission part, in a recording device.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: a driving source; a plurality of driving parts including a first driving part driven by the driving source and a second driving part driven by the driving source; a carriage on which a recording head is mounted, and which moves in a moving direction; and a drive force transmission part which includes a transmission gear with which drive of the driving source is transmitted, and moves according to the carriage, in order to switch transmission of drive with respect to the plurality of driving parts by the transmission gear at several positions. The drive force transmission part is capable of switching between transmission of drive with respect to the first driving part and transmission of drive with respect to the second driving part by using the transmission gear at a first switching position in a crossing direction crossing the moving direction, and is capable of transmitting drive to the second driving part using the transmission gear at a second switching position in the crossing direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 【課題】記録装置において、駆動力伝達部による駆動力伝達切替えに要する時間が抑制された駆動力伝達切替えを行うことが可能とする。【解決手段】記録装置は、駆動源と、駆動源によって駆動される第1駆動部および駆動源によって駆動される第2駆動部を含む複数の駆動部と、記録ヘッドを搭載し、移動方向に移動するキャリッジと、駆動源からの駆動が伝達される伝達ギアを含み、キャリッジによって移動して複数の位置で伝達ギアの複数の駆動部に対する駆動の伝達を切り替える駆動力伝達部と、を備え、駆動力伝達部は、移動方向と交差する交差方向における第1切替え位置において伝達ギアによる第1駆動部に対する駆動の伝達と前記第2駆動部に対する駆動の伝達とを切替えでき、交差方向における第2切替え位置において伝達ギアにより第2駆動部に駆動を伝達できる。【選択図】図11
