Zusammenfassung:	To provide a water repellent composition which exhibits solubility in a solvent and can impart excellent water repellency to a hydrophilic substrate, and to provide a water repellent-treated product.SOLUTION: The water repellent composition contains: (A) a long chain fatty acid ester represented by the following formula (1); and (B) a solvent. When the total amount of the long chain fatty acid ester (A) and the solvent (B) is 100 pts.mass, the mass of the long chain fatty acid ester (A) is 0.1-10 pts.mass and the mass of the solvent (B) is 90-99.9 pts.mass.
