BALL SCREW

To provide an end cap type ball screw which enables balls to circulate smoothly while achieving reduction of costs of an end cap.SOLUTION: In a ball screw 1, a nut 3 has: a nut body 4 in which a female screw groove 12 is formed on an inner peripheral surface; and end caps 5 respectively assembled to one end and the other end of the nut body 4. The end cap 5 forms a connection passage 15 (16) which connects a spiral moving passage 13, formed by the female screw groove 12 and a male screw groove 11 of a screw shaft 2, with a return passage 14 which penetrates through the nut body in an axial direction at the radial outer side of the moving passage 13. The end cap 5 is a metallic component which is formed by a metal plate and assembled to the nut body 4, elastically compressed in the axial direction by the nut body 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】エンドキャップ式のボールねじにおいて、エンドキャップの低コスト化を図りつつ、ボールをスムーズに循環移動可能とする。【解決手段】ナット３が、内周面に雌ねじ溝１２が形成されたナット本体４と、ナット本体４の一端及び他端にそれぞれ組み付けられたエンドキャップ５とを有し、エンドキャップ５が、雌ねじ溝１２とねじ軸２の雄ねじ溝１１とで形成される螺旋状の転走路１３と、この転走路１３の径方向外側でナット本体を軸方向に貫通する戻し通路１４とを接続する接続路１５（１６）を形成するボールねじ１において、エンドキャップ５は、金属板を素材とする金属部品とされ、ナット本体４により軸方向に弾性的に圧縮された状態でナット本体４に組み付けられている。【選択図】図５
