To provide a shock absorbing member which allows a user to perform not only training for catching a ball in a proper motion but also training for developing a sense of catching a ball at a proper position.SOLUTION: A shock absorbing member 10 comprises: a body part which is formed of a flexible sheet-like body; a finger fitting part which is formed of two openings in the body part, in which the thumb 101 of a user is inserted into the one opening, and the ring finger 104 of the user is inserted into the other opening for fitting; a finger protection part which is formed of a flexible sheet-like body for protecting the forefinger and the middle finger 103 of the user that are not inserted into the openings in an intermediate region of the body part located between the one opening for insertion of the thumb 101 and the other opening for insertion of the ring finger 104; and a palm protection part which is formed of a flexible sheet-like body for protecting the palm of the user in the intermediate region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】適切な動作で捕球するトレーニングだけでなく、適切な位置で捕球する感覚を養うトレーニングもできる衝撃吸収部材を提供する。【解決手段】衝撃吸収部材１０は、可撓性のシート状体から形成される本体部と、前記本体部に２つの開口から形成され、一の開口に使用者の手の親指１０１を挿通すると共に、他の開口に前記使用者の手の薬指１０４を挿通して嵌合可能な指嵌合部と、前記本体部の、親指１０１を挿通する前記一の開口と、薬指１０４を挿通する前記他の開口との間に位置する中間領域に、前記開口に挿通していない前記使用者の人差し指、中指１０３を保護する、可撓性のシート状体から形成される指保護部と、前記中間領域に、前記使用者の掌を保護する、可撓性のシート状体から形成される掌保護部と、を備える構成とする。【選択図】図１
