To detect, with no other current measuring circuits provided, the measurement characteristic of a current measuring circuit while supplying electric power to electric loads.SOLUTION: Provided is a detection device (current detection circuit 36 and control unit 39) that detects the measurement characteristic of a current measuring circuit 35 that measures the current value of a current flowing in a circuit, said device comprising a current detection circuit 36 that detects, regarding a plurality of mutually different reference current values, that a reference current value has flown in the circuit, and a control unit 39.
