To provide a wrapper of an absorbent article including a water-absorbent resin, suppressing expansion of the absorbent article wrapper while securing absorption performance of the absorbent article.SOLUTION: An absorbent article wrapper (1) comprises an absorbent article (10) that contains a water-absorbent resin and whose value obtained by dividing a water retention amount by a water absorption amount is 0.55 or more, and a packing material (20), where moisture permeability of the packing material (20) is 2000 g/m2*24h or less, and the packing material (20) is folded with the absorbent article (10) inside such that an opening end of the packing material 20 along a lateral direction is located on the packing material (20).
