Zusammenfassung:To provide a rolling bearing and an axle bearing for a railway vehicle capable of securing a grease sealing amount satisfying a required lubrication life by optimizing a space volume inside the bearing, without changing conventional bearing component configurations in the rolling bearing.SOLUTION: When volumes of a stationary space in a sealing device are defined as A, A', a volume of a stationary space between a pair of inner rings and an inner surface of an opposing outer ring is defined as B, volumes of a movable space obtained by excluding volumes of a holder and a roller from a space through which the holder and the roller pass are defined as A1, A1', and a total space volume of a bearing is defined as V, V=(A+A'+B+A1+A1'), and 15V%≤(A1+A1')≤45V%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】転がり軸受において従来の軸受部品構成は変更せず、軸受内部の空間容積を最適化することで、必要な潤滑寿命を満足するグリース封入量を確保可能な転がり軸受および鉄道車両用車軸軸受を提供する。【解決手段】密封装置内の静止空間の容積をA、A'とし、一対の内輪間と、これに対向する外輪内面との間の静止空間の容積をBとし、保持器ところが通過する空間から保持器及びころ自体の体積を省いた動空間の容積をA1、A1'とし、軸受の全空間容積をVとしたときに、V=(A+A'+B+A1+A1')とし、15V%≦(A1+A1')≦45V%とした。【選択図】図1
