To provide a consumable with a divided reservoir for a liquid aerosol-forming substrate.SOLUTION: A consumable for use in an electrically heated aerosol-generating device comprises: an aerosol outlet path; a reservoir comprising a liquid aerosol-forming substrate; and a heating element. The reservoir has an upper domain and a lower domain that are in fluid connection with each other. The upper domain is divided into a first part and a second part, which are arranged on two opposing sides of the aerosol outlet path such that the two parts are not in direct fluid connection within the upper domain.
