Zusammenfassung: | To provide a polarizer including a retardation plate having a plurality of retardation layers each containing a cured product of a liquid crystal compound, the polarizer having excellent durability against peeling force applied when a base material is peeled.SOLUTION: A polarizer is formed by laminating a linear polarizer, a first bonding layer and a retardation plate in this order. The retardation plate includes a first retardation layer and a second retardation layer, where the first retardation layer and the second retardation layer each contains a cured product of a liquid crystal compound and has a puncture modulus of elasticity of 70 g/mm or more. The first bonding layer has a tensile modulus of elasticity of 1.0×108 Pa or less at 23°C and 55% relative humidity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
